Making Herbal Oils

Learn to avoid common pitfalls of herbal oil extracts, no more moldy or rancid oils. Quality herbal oils are the foundation of many effective herbal remedies like salves, butters, creams, oils and scrubs.
High-quality farm grown herbs and organic oils will be provided.
We will cover techniques, basic phytochemistry of oil extraction, and the foundations of formulation. Discussions about herb actions and energetics, as well as the primary function of healthy skin, will inform each student’s creation of their own custom formula. Make anything from daily skin healing to first aid remedies.
This class is appropriate for beginners and seasoned medicine makers.
Each student will go home with a 16oz custom herbal oil, recipes and class notes.
Cancellation policy: A full refund will be provided at least 3 full business days prior to class. Cancellations less than 3 days prior will receive a 50% refund.
